Credit to Mr. Anthony Err a professional Imagemaker @ Karen Anthony & Co, with his remarks as follows:-

“Circa 1953 – 1954
Kuala Belait had new brick and concrete shops along Jalan Pretty. These historical photos were scanned to improve their tonality and “sharpness”. Thanks to Uncle Tom Chong for giving me the honour to “re-live” these memories.

The following 9 antique photos are added to expand our royal readers’ view of the Belait township before World War 2, from 1936, when I was born. As I grew up, like all my friends, this little fishing town slowly transformed into Administrative District under the British Residents. If you need further information, you are most welcome to let us know, and we will try to respond as soon as we can.

Most of the antique photos are from friends and some from public multimedia; if you have any issue with the copyrights, please let us know, and we will try to delete them as soon as possible.
