Dear All,

Much appreciation of the continuous efforts of Chow Kat Liang and Chong See Kui to keep to update the e-year book “Memories of the Way We Were “

Time flies by; in the blink of the eyes, eight years have passed by since the KBCHMS Alumni Grand Reunion on 7 Oct 2012.

The update brings back fond memories of the good old days long, long time ago, when we were oh so young and innocent and full of hopes and inspirations for the future.

We remember the carefree days when we went fishing in the ponds, in the woods, or shooting at flying bats or birds among the coconut trees.

We also remember the long lost flavours of char kway teow or chendol. Although we may still have these snacks or desserts nowadays, the original flavors are long gone.

I like to mention that I was very much impressed looking at the antique photos in hundreds, all property display during the morning breakfast session.  Many of us in groups were trying to find our own photos and we laugh aloud to see and realized we were not that young and innocent! I would like to thank the organizers who compiled the Chinese title of each photo display board! Well done!
We also wonder where they found all these photos and the antique documents in display.

However, the fond memories of the grand reunion on 7 October 2012 at KBCHMS, our alma mater, will always be with us. I sincerely wish that we may have another reunion in the not too distant future, perhaps in Oct 2022 to commemorate the 10th anniversary of the reunion in 2012.

Once again, much thanks to Kat Liang and See Kui for the great job you have done!

Regards, Chan Siew Fang ( 陈兆弘)Class of 1955
