The reunion on 7 Oct 2012 was the one that gave me the most meaning full and memorable gathering since the very first one in 1949.
I must first give a thumb up to the organisers of the event, it was not an easy task at all together such a large number of people to attend.
It is now eight years have passed and memory remains clearly especially for the Chow families. They took this opportunity to have their family reunion at the place where they used to live, grown-up, and the school where they had their primary education. In addition to that, they were able to pay their respects to their parents and teachers at the graveyards.
The number of my classmates had turned up for the function was extremely good. Although most of them were in their late seventies, everyone is in good health. Many of us had not been met for many years and took the opportunity to remind each other of the good old times.

We noticed a great number of younger generations had turned up for function and actively involved and assisted the organisers. Hope that in the future they will carry out the tradition and organise a similar reunion!
Although everything of our time had changed, however our memories and friendships will always with us.
From the story ‘My Class’ the batch 5 classmates were a very closed bunch during their primary education. After graduation, most of them went overseas for further studies. Although they were in different locations they still have the chance to meet up once a year back in Brunei while on vacation. A few years later most of them returned to Brunei to begin their careers. During this period they enjoyed and had fun in outdoor activities such as picnics or private parties. In addition to the school alumni reunion, they also joined other school functions.
During the seventies and eighties, a few of us had migrated to other countries in order to have a better future for their children. However, this did not stop them from returning to Brunei to join the alumni reunion or visit their relatives and friends.
I was extremely glad and proud to see the largest group of alumni attending the reunion on 7th October 2012 was batch 5, my class.
At times there were smaller reunions overseas, such as cruises or the 2015 Vancouver mini-reunion, or even when an alumna returning to Brunei for a visit there was always at least a batch 5 classmate in attendance.
Goodbye, and God bless.
