#紀念奕中校友聯歡會2012年十月七日

 

奕中人再出發

馬來奕中華中學創辦於1931年，十年後太平洋戰爭爆發，汶萊淪陷，學校後被日本軍隊佔領，改為慰安所。 戰後復校採用春秋兩季始業制，從戰後到五十年代初，應屆畢業生往往邀請前一屆的學長出席畢業典禮，但是直到2012年10月7日，散佈全球各地的奕中校友才首次正式舉辦歷來最盛大的校友返校日。

當天的盛況令人難忘：從三十年代的老學長到新世紀的校友，加上董事和老師，超過三百人湧入母校校園和體育館，久別重逢的握手、恍如隔世的擁抱，此起彼落的驚呼，震耳欲聾的歡笑，從上午的茶會和文物展覽，到晚間到聯歡會，在返校日工作委員會主席張四貴和旅美的曹吉良校友共同努力下，2012年10月7日的盛況、激情、都用圖文聲光留在TripWow的平台。

由於TripWow月前宣佈終止運作，四貴和吉良學長投入大量時間精力，將返校日的歷史資料、校友的創作、不同的回應編輯成系列專輯， 重新放在這個新平台。

我在此代表返校日全體籌備委員向他們深致謝忱，感恩他們過去五年對這個平台的無私奉獻，讓奕中人回顧這間歷時八十多年的華校的發展，讓各地校友繼續支持今天為各民族子弟提供三語教育的母校。我們特別期待新世代的校友參與并支持我們奕中人共同的園地。

To commemorate the 7th anniversary of the October 7, 2012 KBCHMS Alumni Grand Reunion, we are re-creating the grand stage of the reunion and relive the memorable occasion.

Our sincere apologies to  those who could not view the postings as most, if not all,  the photos used in the original publications under a different format were lost when TripWow shut down

The Venue: Chung Hua Middle School, Kuala Belait, Brunei

Time flies, the 7th anniversary of the 7th October 2012 KBCHMS Alumni Grand Reunion is upon us. First and foremost, thanks to Chong See Kui (張四貴) for spearheading the group organizing committee and the formation of local hardworking sub-committees, and the nominated chairperson was Chiew Chee Phoong丘啓楓. These groups have worked tirelessly spending hundreds of hours organizing the event, making it a resounding success.

This gathering of alums from all around the world was simply Grand and is the highlight of my life. It has been five years and with my memory fading, I still can vividly remember seeing the smiling faces, the handshakes, and the hugs all around, as evidenced by the photos, photo slideshows, and videos shown below. This once-in-a-lifetime gathering was not only Grand but had created a totally amazing and unbelievable atmosphere. The alums, some of whom have not seen each other for 50+ years were able to move around the floor or from table to table reminiscing the good old days.

My oldest sister and brother-in-law who are in their 80s and have not gone back to Brunei for over thirty years, wanted very much to attend the reunion but were afraid to make the long trip on their own. My nephew decided to accompany them to Brunei fulfilling their wishes, but he waited till Christmas Day to announce his intention. My sister was overjoyed and said it was her best Christmas gift ever.

Also, the Alums were a very generous group. They have collected in excess of B$20,000 and donated to the school funds together with the proceeds of selling the photos on display. One member of the Board of Directors paid B$500 for the 6 posters packed full of antique photos and he later contributed them to the school library.

展出1935年以来的奕中和马来奕埠旧照片， 校友发思古之幽情；其中一个专辑展览是宋之绚校长特辑，展出宋校长的墨宝、相关文献和珍贵遗照；小组也收集杰出校友的资料，让年轻的校友了解当年母校的 辉煌岁月.
