Radio Brunei started in 1957 from a small temporary building next to the Civic Center (present TAIB building) in Brunei Town (now known as Bandar Seri Begawan).
It had only one small studio, which was used for recording and as an ON-AIR Studio. Two Marconi Medium-Wave Transmitters radiate a combined RF power of 1000 watts, and the reception area has 5-mile radius.

Hi 👋one and all,
Greetings from Perth, Western Australia.
Thank you for allowing me to write a few words of appreciation on your eighth School Reunion Anniversary.
And on behalf of all the Year1961 alumni, our heartfelt gratitude toward the organising committee for setting the stage, a major and most memorable milestone, where hopefully the future generations can pick up the baton.
Now through this wonderful platform we can all be sharing our living legacy and taking a delightful trip down the memory lane together….
A big thank you to Mr. Chong See Kui for tenaciously keeping the memory alive.👍👍👍
Good job brother!
👏👏👏
Best regards,
Lau Ping Soon

Another Awesome post which brought me down memory lane. I remember loving to go visit you at work and it always means we have to bring cardigan because the studios were so cold and so many heavy doors. We also get to go library.
